Steps to admission
We work closely with patients, their
families, physicians, case managers, insurers and other
healthcare providers to ensure a smooth and timely coordination
of care.
Upon referral, we will obtain clinical
information and financial information on the patient,
followed by a pre-admission assessment. This is a process
by which our physicians and program managers review
the patient's information to determine if our program
is an appropriate choice to meet their treatment needs.
Questions are welcome throughout the admission process
and tours are available upon request.
If our program is right for the patient,
and the patient (or patient's family/caregiver) chooses
North Valley Hospital, one of our Admissions' representatives
will contact the patient's insurance company to determine
eligibility for benefits. North Valley Hospital is a
contracted participating provider with Medicare, Medicaid
and most managed care organizations and insurance companies.
If we are not currently a contracted
provider, we will pursue negotiations for authorization
and admission.
